Are you new to growing indoor plants?
These concise evening classes provide a general understanding of houseplant health and maintenance with the opportunity to learn more in depth techniques including Kokedama, terrariums and propagation. Pick and mix which sessions to come along to.

- General Indoor Plant Care – completed
Explore different indoor plant species and their growing medium, light, temperature, water and feeding needs. Learn to identify common pests and diseases and how to combat them.
Kokedama – Tuesday 2 March 7pm
Come and learn the Japanese art form of Kokedama with Allan Paterson of Magic Moss. Take home your own bonsai inspired ornamental moss ball. - Terrariums – Tuesday 9 March 7pm
Learn all about terrariums: possible containers, the tools required, suitable plants, moisture/drainage, soil and whether to seal or leave open. Then get your hands dirty and take home your own mini one to get you started.
- Propagation – Tuesday 16 March 7pm
Addicted to indoor plants, but not got the budget for more plant babies? Learn to propagate and extend your collection for free. From how to sow seeds correctly to taking cuttings, all will be revealed. - Macramé – Tuesday 23 March 7pm
Learn how to make two macrame hangers for trailing plants. One basic design to get you into the swing of it before we explore different knots that will allow you to create your own individual design. With handouts and new found skills you will be able to create even more at home.
